Booking tickets was quick and efficient and it provided clear instructions on how to get to the attraction and where to meet our guide. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly and spoke very good and clear English.
Nice quiet morning due to some sort of staff strike meant people who did not have electronic tickets struggled to get in and we waltzed right in in. - not very well run in my opinion
The views of Lisbon from the castle made it worth the ticket. Be prepared for walking over uneven cobblestone and steps though.
I couldn't get a normal ticket, it was full?? But at the same time i could get a more expensive ticket with audio, strange. So it wasn't full Why?? I didn't want audio and didn't use it. It ssems to be a mthod to sell more expensive tickets But the castle was really beautiful.
The view of Lisbon was great from that spot. Getting tickets with my phone and skipping the line while everyone else stood in was wonderful.
I booked the entrance tickets to Sao Jorge Castle as soon as we arrived in front. There would have been an endless queue at the ticket counters to go through, which would surely have taken up a lot of time that we were able to devote to the visit instead. It was all very quick and the visit was worthwhile

It is a place of world history, very moving to be within those walls and if you can take the option of watching a 3D video even more interesting.

The castle was great. Buying the ticket online saved a good amount time of not having to wait in the queue. Highly recommend buying tickets online.
The views from the castle were amazing. Would absolutely love to go again on a day with better weather to see the sunset.
The attraction was lovely, well worth the visit. Suggest people take transport to there as the steps through the City were arduous!! Unfortunately the ticket office staff were on strike so the only option was online booking, however, this was quite easy to do. Definitely recommend the venue.
Fine to book me ticket here There was a long line and so we could quickly pass it and did not have to wait 😄😎

Our guide did a wonderful job of orienting us to the castle He is highly knowledgeable of the history and architecture
Tickets were booked within a minute while those in line for the box office had to wait up to an hour. Beautiful castle and view, definitely worth seeing during a visit to Lisbon.

Our guide João was great. He shared the history of Lisboa and the castle with us. As we entered the castle, he really pointed out the unique features of the castle in a fun way. Would definitely recommend especially since there's not a lot of details around the grounds to explain a lot of the history and usage of the castle.
Hundreds of people queue outside of the castle to get tickets inside. We downloaded our tickets and got straight in. No idea why everyone queues
The rooms were gorgeous, as is the electric exterior. The audio didn't work. The line at the entry front was chaotic, very crowed in beginning of tour & when there were route options it thinned out. Loved the hung room, and terraces & views of courtyard. We hiked up from the train station, a clear route marker along the way would be helpful. We walked to the old fort after castle.
Our guide Miriam was exceptionall!. She was really friendly and knowledgeable. Her English was fantastic, and she really knew her subject. It was a fun tour where we learned a lot!.
Stunning setting and really interesting site. The views from the castle are spectacular. A must to visit when in Lisbon.
The ticket office manager let us through, so I don't know if the problem was with the ticket or with the verification system itself. That said, my ticket didn't have the right name (a Greek name, but I'm French!).

Booking the tickets was very easy and everything was digital. Access was very easy and the castle, at least what's left of it, is wonderful. You can let your imagination reconstruct everything and live back in those days.

Tickets were easy to get and saved tons of time to get into the castle. Silva was a great guide. Tons of knowledge, a great story teller and kept the tour moving. Definitely recommend.
Paid too much for ticket through this site. Expected an audio guide but was not able to access guide. Turns out it should be free with tickets bought at gate if it was accessible. Recommend just buying ticket at gate.
Loved the castle. Only suggestion....make it known that ticket holders can skip the long line and go directly to the left and enter under the arch
São Jorge Castle was absolutely magnificent! Visiting Lisbon for the first time, I was happy to get into this wonderful castle, too, and enjoy breathtaking views of the city as well as its ancient serenity. Headout helped me book tickets online very quickly, right at the entrance to the attraction, so I have saved tons of time by skipping the queue for spending it on further exploration of Lisbon later on. I totally loved the experience!
Lisbon is really beautiful and it was great to be able to climb up to the Castle to be able to see much of the city below. The Castle itself was fascinating and was very well maintained.

I wish it was explained before that we would need to pickup our card at a certain location, they made it seem like we would just have them on the app. Also I would have liked a map that showed where the museums and sites were located and what buses were available to get to them. Navigating became difficult and we were not able to get the most out of the card. Almost doesn't seem worth it, especially since as a family we could have gotten discounts at most sites without the Lisboa card
The advantages of the Lisboa Card: free access to public transport. Free or reduced-price entry to many monuments, saving time in queues.
View original review in French
Not only the public transportation was great! You get on and off wherever you want. Admission to the museums and sights listed is also great. What we didn't find was free access to the Elevador de Santa Justa. But maybe on our next visit - with the Lisboa Gard, of course!

Impossible to buy day tickets. We should have our tickets online and accessible on our cell phone without having to walk miles to go to a metro station to buy them.

We got our cards in a matter of minutes from the tourist office, they were easy to use and the brochure we downloaded from the website gave exhaustive information about the attractions we could use them for.
I loved the card, was just a bit worried about the time wtitten on the electronic WhatsApp message which statec that I purchased the card much earlier than I actually did. Once I got the physical card and asked around how it works all was perfect.
Beautiful city, great restaurants, impeccable public service. A city definitely worth visiting even more than once

THe castle was awesome. The instructions on use of the tickets were problematic. They state to locate the kiosk. We never found that. We eventually found a ticket taker at the castle who let us in based on the pass we had. But this circling around the castle was stressful and likely took a full hour of our day.
A magnificent place, nothing to complain about. However, there should be timetable slots so that we don't have to queue with no estimated waiting time. And the visit to the church is free.

Certainly of interest to those who are willing to stand in endless queues to visit monuments such as the belém... The monastery... The lisboa card was only useful for taking public transport, so I paid a lot, plus I had booked it for 72 hours...
View original review in French
The Lisboa card was great value, we visited 3 places that were free with it and the Aquarium where we got a discount. It worked perfectly for the metro and trams that we used multiple times a day. It was great to be able to not queue or access the sorted lines due to having the card. I would definitely recommend it!
The card is very useful when visiting several museums and using public transport. It offers significant savings, especially for the 72-hour pass. It's very easy to use.

Easy to pick up and easy to use. Regarding São Jorge castle, we couldn't use the card directly as access, like others at attractions, but had to pick up free tickets at the ticket office, i.e. we had to queue there instead of being able to use our own card and skip the queue.
The wide variety of visits on offer and the pass's practicality in organizing the day make a stay with the Lisboa pass a smooth one.

I really liked the cloister, the ornamentation of the columns and capitals is very rich. I find the Manueline style very interesting. Also the sacritistia with the wood and leather furniture and the very unique books.

Nice experience. We loved the Pena Palace and surroundings. I recommend the carriage museum. On the downside, we were not able to visit the Belem Tower. We arrived at the site and the officials did not give us access. They use tourists to get job perks and that is unfair. It is a bad image for Portugal and tour operators like Headout should take part in it, because they sell a promise that is not being fulfilled and it also damages their image. For me, the fair thing would be to be compensated for those tickets included in the Lisbon Card.

Headout worked well for booking. With our tickets, we waited in a relatively long line to get in (within an hour) but once inside, found the experience well worth the visit and a must see.
The monastery is stunning... cool, beautiful and serene . Worth queueing to visit, although after buying a ticket online we got to the front of the queue and then had to go across the road to pick up the Lisboa card. The office was closed for lunch, so by the time we got into the monastery several hours had gone by.
We had a good experience because we arrived really early and only had to wait for about 45 minutes, unlike friends who waited 2 hours in the afternoon. We were in a queue for about 20 minutes before we realised we needed to go to the ticket office to validate our Lisboa card. This information may have been in the small print but it may need to be a more prominant as it would have been awful to wait for a long time and then not be able to get in because we hadn't validated the ticket.
There is always a Line in the sun in hot weather they shoulf offer a shadow put a temporary tent- its eay too hot! They should have more info points inside the venue- with the history and infotmation of the venue-
The card is very useful as you can move around the city without any problem and access the most important attractions without waiting in line for tickets. It worked great for me to see the most popular attractions in the city. 🎉

You have to be very careful with external transport that after charging you a lot of money not all schedules are covered and in the end you have to return to the train for your means!!!!!.
View original review in Spanish
The monastery is beautiful overall, but the visit was very quick, and the wait in full sun was longer. Moreover, there are no clear signs at the entrance.
View original review in French
Architecturally, the cloister is a work of art of infinite beauty. I used Headout to purchase the Lisboa card, so entrance to the monastery was free. To be suggested is the provision of some kind of protection from the heat and sun for people in line

I found it a complicated process to buy the tickets with youed, it is absurd to have to stand in a long line to redeem the virtual tickets for the card. I would improve that process.

We had the absolute pleasure of touring São Jorge Castle with Silva, who truly made the experience unforgettable. Silva’s blend of warmth, intelligence, and enthusiasm created a perfect balance between learning and having fun. His impressive depth of historical knowledge brought the history of the castle to life in a captivating manner. Silva answered every question with insight, and his storytelling made us feel immersed in the history of Lisbon. If you’re looking for a guide who’s personable, savvy, and makes history both engaging and enjoyable, Silva is the one. Highly recommended!
Guide was great and fun After he left we got lost trying to find our way out . Would suggest he give better duo and instructions
Energetic hostess, good historical information. Hostess incuded all participants and even repeated information to those that might have straggled.
We were lucky enough to have a guided tour of the castle alone with the guide. Everything went very well, and the tour was very interesting! We had a great time!

We did the tour with Joa he was very friendly and spoke very good English. He made our tour very interesting and made the odd funny joke to keep us entertained. We learnt quite a bit of the history of Lisbon and before he finished gave us a few of his recommendations for his favourite restaurants. Loved the tour. Thank you
Firstly, the guide did not initially meet us in the designated place. Myself and another couple had carefully read the instructions and were waiting at the correct place. It seems one other family were by the ticket office and the guide was waiting with them. I had to call the office twice before the guide came to meet us. Once in the castle, whilst the guide was friendly, I felt that she wasn't especially historically knowledgable. I could have learnt more from simply going with the audio guide (significantly cheaper). I did not feel this tour was worth the additional money paid for a guided tour.
ticketing was good, easy to navigate the activity was fine. The appointment was confusing as the guide had not the right color of flag. As he was the only guide at that time, we just could connect with him
Bruno was our guide and he was fantastic! He taught us so much about the castle history and also took great photos of us :)!
Our guide, Alex was amazing. He provided us with so much detailed information about St George Castle. Aex went out of his way to make sure we saw all the main sites in the Castle and his knowledge of historical events that happened at the Castle was amazing.
Our guide, Maira Leire. She was great, very calm, slow, with attention to detail ... the best of the best.

It was wonderful getting to walk around the castle with our guide, Elber. He was very knowledgeable of the history and geography of the area surrounding the castle and showed us key important places from above on the hill! It was interesting learning what the various parts of the castle were used for, and envisioning what it looked like in the past, based on descriptions and stories Elber shared with us.
Ticketing experience is very easy. Your guide was easy to understand and very knowledgeable. Enjoyed the tour.

The places are impressive. But I do not recommend buying for the tower of Belen. After an hour of queuing in the sun and it hardly moved, we left. We lost money but gained in health. In the Monastery and in the Castle there were no problems. Bad organization in the Tower, they should improve a lot the access or limit it and not allow to buy so many tickets or do it with a schedule.

Super nice view ! Maybe little expensive compared to the other attractions in Lisbon but as listed as the 'must have seen' - ok Also nice region around the castle
Walking on the top of the castle walls and the patio with the trees and the view. I am glad I bought my tickets ahead and did not need to stand in the long line
It's such a quick process to get your tickets online. We got them right after coming in and avoided the line =) The visit was great too, very nice views.
Couldn't download the tickets. It would be quicker if arriving early to get the tickets at the site. The castle / fort and grounds are superb.
The purchase of the ticket was very easy and, in addition, they give you a small percentage discount for having bought another ticket before. And the castle is wonderful, all very nice, beautiful views. And the free audio guide they offer in the castle is very good.

Quick and easy entrance into the castle grounds since we had tickets. The history and use of space for the exhibition was great.
Ticketing was easy and enabled us to not have to wait in a queue to visit. Great views of the city. Don't both to eat at the cafe inside, the views are good, but the service is poor.
Very nice large complex, well-preserved castle. Although there were many visitors, the people spread out well and you don't get the feeling that it's overcrowded. Wonderful view over the city. Beautiful peacocks roaming freely in the park.

The place is magnificent, calm and restful. 12€ to visit just one monastery cloister is nevertheless quite expensive, as access to the church is free.

The ticketing experience was excellent, the website was very user friendly and we got the ticket right on the spot. The monastery was extremely beautiful, but it was a pity that the church was closed the day we passed by. Overall, we had a great time.
It was very easy to buy a tickets online and the staff working at the entrance were amazing, very helpful! It was the second time I visited Lisbon and I decided to go to Jerónimos Monastery. It is such a masterpiece, very beautiful monument with unique style!! It is remarkable that this monastery stands there for many many years.
The place is very nice. What I didn't like is the half hour queue despite having purchased tickets and having to enter the tickets one by one on the app since I bought 7.

It took us almost 45 minutes to get in, arriving 15 minutes early. The queues are huge. The time is not controlled. And the guards are quite dry. In general, buy the ticket at the time you want and go at the time you want, it doesn't matter.

Beautiful Jeronimos Monastery. The waiting time was adequate. On the other hand for the Belém Tower (being an untimed reservation), it was very long. But it is worth a visit
View original review in Spanish
Everything in general. The cloister is architecturally beautiful. Highly recommended. If I have to put something negative is that once the visit to the cloister (which as you know is paid) you have to queue to enter the church which is free (and that currently) is under construction. I think that if you have paid a ticket it would be normal not to queue.

The place is worth visiting and the staff is pleasant and conscientiously maintains the facilities. However, there were too many people in shifts and some spaces could be visually and audibly crowded.

The views of Lisbon from the castle made it worth the ticket. Be prepared for walking over uneven cobblestone and steps though.
The Cloister is truly magnificent! Disappointing not to have had access to the Chapel, which was apparently reserved for a wedding and also under renovation. The disappointment comes mainly from the fact that I didn't get the information when I booked the tickets (on the internet) or did I not see it? Mystery... I think it would be interesting to add explanations/panels on the history of this building, the work that may have taken place there or that is currently underway, and what is still going on today in the walls that are not accessible to the public. Are there any monks left?
View original review in French
Loved the beautiful architecture and serenity. The church was closed for maintenance and I regret that we couldn't see it
It was easy to buy tickets from Headway and show thrm on my phone at the entrance. Despite timed entry ticket you still have to join the back of the queue. It took about half an hour though this was early in the morning in November and may be longer in busier times of the year. The inner courtyard of the monestry was stunningly beautiful and well worth the wait in line. Despite the people it felt very tranquil and it was easy to imagine the monks passing through it, enjoying the sheltered sunshine in the winter and finding cool shade In the hot summers. Unfortunately at the time of my visit the church was closed for renovation so I missed out on that. Despite this I'd still recommend it if you love architecture or just beautiful places
We went at 1pm on a very sunny November Tuesday. There was at least 1h wait time. No thanks! We went to Cascais instead and came back the day after at 3.30pm. (We at 2pm tickets for the Tuesday but they were valid for 2/3 weeks, what's the point?!). It was overcast so we were ready to be in line for a while (less hot!) but no line at all! Yeah! It was not crowded, it took us a little more than 30mins to visit (only the cloister, church was closed). In my opinion, it was worth coming back for (beautiful ❤️) but not worth being in line 1h++ for. They have a pretty bad system - they could have time slots like in many touristic places, this would be way more efficient
The site is beautiful. Staff very nice. The timed entry ticket is a farce. Ours was for 9:30. Got in at 10:15 after all the groups tours got in first.
The purchase was very easy, but we couldn't get into the Belem tower because the tide was too high. Can we be reimbursed?

Going in with our 3:30pm timeslot was okay, around 15 min waiting time. The monastery architecture was great. There is a church next to it which you can visit for free.
The monastery is beautiful, we went on Tuesday 12/11/2024, we did not have to queue at all to enter. But the Google maps directions are wrong and make you go all the way around the monastery when the entrance is right in front of you.
